Shannon Potter is a Duke TeachHouse inaugural fellow and current English Teacher at Jordan High School in Durham, North Carolina. In 2017, Shannon was awarded Beginning Teacher of the Year at Jordan, selected as a district finalist for Durham Public Schools Beginning Teacher of the Year (high school division), and named the Durham Public Schools Teacher of the Year 2017. She graduated from Duke with a B.A. in English and a Minor in Education in 2015. She is from Pinehurst, North Carolina.
