Teresa Del Dotto has taught English for sixteen years.  She currently teaches World Literature and American Literature at Durham School of the Arts, where she has taught for the past twelve years.  Teresa sponsors the Octagon Community Service Club.  She has been mentoring in the Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) Program for ten years.

Awards & Accolades

In 2009, Teresa was selected as Durham School of the Arts Teacher of the Year and was a finalist for Durham Public Schools’ District Teacher of the Year.  She has presented at the Biennial Kappa Delta Pi Convocation (“Pre-service Teachers’ Action Research: Experiences and Outcomes”) and at a professional development workshop for Durham Public Schools teachers (“Running with Scissors and Other Dangers of Persuasion: Identifying, Analyzing, and Utilizing Rhetoric”).
