This course explores cross-disciplinary perspectives—including engineering, education, psychology, and policy—focused on broadening participation and improving student outcomes in engineering and STEM education. Topics include recruitment, persistence, and retention challenges, as well as foundational concepts in engineering education, pedagogy, research methods, and effective mentoring practices. Emphasis will be placed on understanding systemic factors that influence student engagement and success across varied educational contexts.
Prerequisites
Reserved for first-year students in the Education constellation. Students may enroll in one constellation course per semester.
