Classroom-based research and reflection to promote the development of inquiry-oriented teachers. Students complete Elementary edTPA performance-based portfolio assessment, designed with a focus on student learning and principles from research and theory, and focused on meeting the diverse needs of learners in the elementary classroom. Portfolio includes artifacts covering three dimensions (planning, instruction, and assessment) as well as extensive written commentaries that explain, analyze, and reflect on their practice. Required course for Elementary Teacher Preparation Program. Consent of instructor required.
