Fellow Profile: Corey Bray

About Corey

PhD Candidate, University of North Carolina Chapel Hill

During the summer break, we had the opportunity to visit Nepal and work with educators in Kathmandu and Tusipur, Dang. Fellows from Teach for Nepal and TeachHouse collaborated to design professional development for educators of the region and implement trainings for many teachers who have received little to no pedagogical support in their career. We were lucky to be able to get to know each other and grow from our disparate and shared experiences.

Corey Bray was a TeachHouse fellow and Resident Mentor from 2017-2020. He graduated from Duke with a B.A. in Global Cultural Studies in the Literature Program in 2016 and a Master of Arts in Teaching in 2017. After graduation, he taught English for 3 years at Northern High School in Durham, North Carolina. He currently attends the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill. Corey is from Sacramento, California.
