The Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) Program received a National Science Foundation (NSF) Capacity Building grant in 2014 to investigate the institutionalization of an integrative middle grades (6-8) MAT STEM Teacher Preparation Program at Duke University. This Program will recruit and prepare highly-successful STEM graduates to become highly-effective middle school science and math teachers.
