Right to Education Act and No Child Left Behind: A Comparative Analysis of Education Legislation in India and the United States

This research project evolved from the Program in Education’s partnership with Shiv Nadar University in India. The researchers plan to conduct a comparative study of K-12 education in India and the U.S. In the first phase of the project the researchers will identify the similarities and difference of two major pieces of K-12 legislation, the Right to Education Act 2009 (RTE) in India and No Child Left Behind 2001 (NCLB).
